DEVELOPMENT
We inspect roofs of industrial facilities by drone and high-resolution photo/video camera or thermal imaging camera. We deposit the georeferenced photographic data on the as-built plans. With these so-called photo plans, we meaningfully link the photo and drawing material, and open up new perspectives in the assessment of existing buildings.
We create an immersive image of reality with digital twins. We update this image either in a fictional or in a real way. We insert something that is designed but not yet built into the digital twin, thus facilitating the decision-making process. We also insert something that has been built subsequently into the digital twin, thus keeping the digital twin always up-to-date.
We print true-to-scale 3D models of both planned new buildings and existing buildings scanned by drone flight. We also print cut-away models to visualise interiors. For large models that exceed the construction space of our 3D printer, we break down the entire model into smaller parts that fit precisely, and then assemble them.
We design innovative office furniture with a feel-good factor. Our electrically height-adjustable tables can be used both as stand-up and sit-down tables. Tulip-shaped curved and designed in two parts, they are suitable for both small and large meetings. Our movable mobile containers, at seat height and upholstered in individually coloured fabrics, invite you to sit down.
We were significantly involved in the development of the aluminium noise protection panel "Noise Phalanx" for high-speed lines of the Deutsche Bahn (DB). We prepared the static and dynamic calculations required for the approval of the German Federal Railway Authority (EBA) and supervised the performance of the vibration tests at Graz University of Technology.
Together with Jana Rieth and Lorenz Kastner, students at the Institute for Structural Design at TU Graz, we developed an adaptive building structure in lightweight construction. The FFG-funded project won two prizes: first prize at the IASS Symposium 2019 in Barcelona, Spain and a recognition prize at the Stuttgarter Leichtbaupreis 2019 in Stuttgart, Germany.
