BENEDICTINE MONASTERY ST. LAMBRECHT
The Benedictine Monastery St. Lambrecht has converted a part of the south wing of the Monastery into a conference center “School of Existence”, that was awarded with the GerambRose 2008 of the Society for Building Culture of Styria, Austria.
Core elements of the alteration works were the activation of the existing baroque style rooms into conference rooms, the insertion of the new, multi-storey staircase including an elevator, the construction of the new sanitation facilities and a special designed exit towards west. The architectural design was done by Arch. DI Peter Reitmayer (www.reitmayr-architekten.at). On behalf of the Monastery, convex ZT GmbH was responsible for the structural design.
