BORWIN4 & DOLWIN4, LINGEN
Amprion Offshore GmbH‘s offshore grid connection systems DolWin4 and BorWin4, which run largely in parallel, are among the most important energy transition projects in Germany. Amprion uses high voltage direct current transmission for the lines, which can be used to transport large amounts of electricity with low losses. The DolWin4 and BorWin4 onshore converter stations are being built at the Lingen site to convert direct current into alternating current.
On behalf of the general contractor Siemens Energy Global GmbH & Co. KG, convex ZT GmbH is responsible for the construction permit and construction execution design of the onshore converter stations.
