ENERJISA, a 50/50 joint venture of the Turkish Sabancı Holding and the German E.ON, built a combined cycle power plant with an installed capacity of around 600 MW and an efficiency of over 60% near the city of Bandirma in Turkey. SIEMENS received the order for the turnkey construction, incl. the supply of the high-efficiency H-class gas turbine, a steam turbine, and a Benson-type heat recovery steam generator manufactured by NEM.

On behalf of SIEMENS, convex ZT GmbH was responsible for preparation of the construction permit drawings (together with convex Ltd. Şti.) and for parts of the civil and structural design, incl. the layout and design of undergound services and the 2 km long rainwater pipeline from site to the sea. On behalf of NEM, convex ZT GmbH was responsible for the steelwork structural design of the heat recovery steam generator and the stack, incl. its sophisticated seismic design.
