NOISE PROTECTION ELEMENT NOISE PHALANX

MPA Dresden is developing a noise protection element for high speed railway tracks (v = 300 km/hrs) of the German Federal Railways (Deutsche Bahn). The NOISEPHALANX TM R300 element is a result of the collaboration of project promoters, engineers, advisers, consultants and specialists (see www.noise-phalanx.de).

convex ZT GmbH was responsible for the entire structural and dynamical analysis and verifications of the NOISEPHALANX TM R300 element in acc. with RIL 804.5501 resp. relevant DIN/EN codes. Within the development of this product, convex ZT GmbH participated in the International Trade Fair for Transport Technology InnoTrans 2012 in Berlin. In January 2013, dynamic tests were successfully carried out at the Graz University of Technology. The product registration procedure at the German Federal Railway Authority was successfully completed in May 2013.

The noise protection element NOISEPHALANX TM R300 was used successfully in the project Noise Protection Wall Heidelberg along the railway track of the German Federal Railways. The development and application of the noise protection element NOISEPHALANX was presented in an article in the technical journal “Konstruktiver Ingenieurbau”, Issue 04/2017.
