CONCERT HALL MUTH, VIENNA
Austria

The concert hall of the Vienna Boys Choir in Vienna is an ensemble of baroque buildings (gatehouse and surrounding wall) and modern architecture. The core of the new concert hall is decorated in warm and bright colors, contrasting with the outer appearance of the new building made of glass and metal materials. The brilliant acoustics is supported by sound panels and special chairs. A cafe, a shop and a meeting room are also provided.

On behalf of the Owner, convex ZT GmbH performed the civil design review pursuant the Austrian OIB Directive No. 1. For the review of the structural design, a 3-D model of the load bearing structure was developed in order to assess the complex geometry and the associated structural behavior including seismic analysis.
