FLUE GAS DESULPHURISATION PLANT, VENTANAS
Andritz has received an order from the Chilean power generation company AES Norgener S.A. for the turnkey supply of one flue gas desulphurisation plant incl. bag filter for Unit 1 (120 MW) and one bag filter for Unit 2 (218 MW) of the coal fired power plant Ventanas.
On behalf of Andritz, convex ZT GmbH is carrying out the construction permit and civil design works The plant in Ventanas is founded on sandy soil, in areas with high loads, drilled reinforced concrete piles are foreseen. Chile being one the most seismic countries of the world, the entire structural design needs to be checked and approved by a seismic check engineer. In this project, all structural design has been checked and approved by Prof. Dr. Rodolfo Saragoni (www.sysingen.cl).
