HEPP ALLERSDORF
The municipal hydro power plant of Amstetten in Allersdorf is a hydro-power plant at the river Ybbs. The plant was erected in 1900 and has a rated output of 2.94 MW, which covers one-fifth of the electricity requirements of the town of Amstetten.
convex carried out the structural engineering for CCi GmbH for the renovation of the dam system Greinsfurth and the inlet and outlet areas of the plant. The dam area required a complete renovation of its concrete. Further, a new stilling basin below the dam and bottom outlet and a new diving beam were implemented. The right shore wall was reversed to create a connection into the entry area of a yet-to-be-developed small hydro plant.
All steel elements were replaced in the bottom outlet, gravel trap and outlet pipe. All required renovation work was carried out for the building at the entry area of the plant, the rack and rack cleaning system was replaced, the splash flap replaced and a dam beam for emergency closure was integrated. In the outlet area the concrete was renovated and the emergency closure replaced.
