RAILWAY BRIDGES OVER THE LAVANT
mondi Frantschach GmbH in Carinthia/Austria has two main production areas, the chemical pulp mill and the paper mill. Within the factory premises, there are railway bridges (reinforced concrete, conventional and pre-stressed; 1- and 2-span with spans around 30 m); support constructions and one waggon weighbridge.
On behalf of mondi Frantschach GmbH convex ZT GmbH carries out the main inspections for the these structures with an interval of 4 years. The inspections are done acc. to the regulations and guidelines of ÖBB (Austrian Federal Railways). In the course of this inspection, the structures are checked in respect of their state of preservation, their operability and their load carrying capacity.
