BERGSTRASSE 1, GRAZ
Austria

The former trainee dormitory of Telekom Austria in the Eggenberg district of Graz is extensively rehabilitated and rebuilt. In total, 53 new appartment units and the belonging car parking areas are constructed. The complete structural design was carried out on behalf of the architect.

The accessibility of the building has been completely changed and is realised now by 3 new staircases and 2 elevators. Most of the floor slabs are reinforced, but preserved. The wooden slabs are replaced by reinforced concrete slabs. In the old staircase a new reinforced concrete construction was built-in. The loft is completely renovated and offers now place for Maisonette appartments. For each appartment a new terrace or balcony is built.
